Bi-Rex

BI-REX (Big Data Innovation & Research Excellence) is a competence center established by the Ministry of Economic Development in 2018.

Its focus is on big data, its mission to support companies in their technological innovation processes.

The nature of BI-REX is both public and private, in fact it is made up of fifty-seven partners including universities, research centers and companies of excellence. It is based in Bologna and acts as a point of convergence of the know-how of the Emilia Romagna High Technology network, which it wants to redistribute among small and medium-sized companies in the area; however, it is characterized by an international approach.

Within the BI-REX project it will help companies, and in particular SMEs, to become fully aware of the potential and benefits of HPC and HPDA technologies and to familiarize themselves with technology transfer measures and financing initiatives towards innovation thanks to such technologies.

To this end, BI-REX will provide analysis of the technological gap, proof of concepts, explain business models, and more, also providing support in the provision of training courses planned within the project. It will also collaborate with NCC on the communication side, giving visibility to its network of planned activities within the Competence Center.
