Eni

ENI is a multinational company founded in 1953 by the Italian State under the leadership of Enrico Mattei, its first President.

The company is engaged in sectors such as oil, natural gas, chemicals, production and marketing of electricity and energy from fossil fuels.

Starting from 2018, the company is also engaged in the field of digital transformation: in fact, it has launched HPC4, a supercomputer that has ranked among the ten most powerful in the world and first among non-governmental ones. In 2020 it further improved its performance thanks to HPC5, whose high computing power has allowed ENI to play a relevant role in research. In this sector, ENI’s mission is to support research institutes in Italy and the world and accelerate research on zero-carbon energy.

ENI also plays a supporting role within the EuroCC Italy National Competence Center: it will support the other partners in disseminating the project itself and its activities, such as calls, in-company training courses and much more.
